Travelling to Nepal can be a truly amazing experience with its stunning scenery, centuries of history and friendly locals. But the culture, climate, economics, transport and food can be very different to those experienced in most Western countries. While for most competitors this only adds to the attraction of racing in a foreign country, a small number of people miss their home comforts and find it hard to accept the different ways.

YAK ATTACK is a "no frills" kind of race. Described by one of our previous competitors as "Raw mountain biking", the race takes riders into a harsh environment, where facilities are basic and there are few luxuries. Things don't always run to plan, service can sometimes be infuriatingly slow, hot showers aren't always available and communication with the outside world can be non existent for days.

If you are looking for adventure and the chance to test your mettle against some of the toughest terrain and conditions around then this race is definitely for you, but if your looking for home comforts and the luxuries of a western world then please think very carefully before applying for a place.

A non refundable deposit of £300 will secure a place in YAK ATTACK 2012, with payment in full required by 30/08/2011. There are 15 places available for international riders, once these are gone then no further entries will be taken for 2012.
